it cant be that bad. if you've ripped off the mounts then they must have been pretty rotten or it would have just bent the beam and/or twisted the chassis legs.
Pics or it didnt happen!
lol
I'd have thought if you'd ripped the mount off the one side wouldnt the other side be all twisted or at least bent out of shape - might have weakened it...
:wtf:
I've seen a few Novas do the same thing and they're all usually an easy repair so I wouldnt worry about it. But I would like to comment on the thread title, so I'll just say HA HAAA!!!

find me one then because everyone i look at is rotten or stupid expensive,
ill get pics tomorow the drivers side rear wheel is back against the bumper,
think i know why it happened as well my mate used it and towed two cars with it and tied the tow rope to the beam because it hasnt a towing eye
That's why they're expensive, you have to pay for a clean one 95% of the time lol
yea i dont mind apying for a clean one but im not gonna pay over the odds or more than its worth and neither would you
Ppics of the damage although i have tried pushing it back a bit so its a little better than it was

It looks like your shell was scrap anyway mate, but I think I can diagnose what happened. The Rear Beam ripped off.
Yea im going to weld it back for now anyway i need the car its the only one i have with an engine lol

That shell has well and truly had it, I've hit kerbs in icy conditions before and the beams themselves have bent before even deforming the beam mounts!
The only safe way to repair that would be to strip out the tank and everything and weld in a new chassis leg, but it's a fair bit of work and a rather critical point regarding the strength and saftey of the car.

what did u do ? u must have walloped a kurb or something.
grind it back to bare metal and weld in some fresh plate.
think it got weakened towing a few cars the last couple of days tying the rope to the beam but i hit a massive pothole sideways about 70mph, its not as rotten as it looks in the pic actually and the rest of the car is pretty solid im going to strip out the beam and tank next week anyway and see exactly how bad it is, if its too bad ill scrap it
Tieing a rope to the rear beam and towing at 70mph?
no my mate borrowed it and towed two cars with it and tied them to the beam cos i havent got a towing eye, i hit the pothole at 70mph few days afterwards hit a bit of ice and slid sideways into it
i bet your rear beam is bent as fook!! ive seen them bent just jacking them up on the beam!! uber fail lol
it dont matter if it is i'll just change it, if the shell is savable that is

If your beam mounts are that rotten i dread to think what the rest of the chassis looks like!!
