if the pix don't work then you'll have to go to the misc section on the album for a look. :)

looks cool mate as long as you dont have one great big hole in it like shown on the picture of the red nova.

Look forward to seeing the finished product.

youve obviously made it from polystyrene..........

what do you do to it then?

u making a mould from it or doing something to the polystyrene - coating it in fibreglass matting or something?

I like it. And DO keep the hole that big. But filled with an Intercooler (even if it's not connected coz you don't have a turbo).

thanks for all the comments, basically i'm doing this as a final year uni project and at the moment i'm building up some concept models. want to do at least 4 different designs before deciding on the final one (u wanna see some of the madder designs in my sketch book lol). will get pix up as soon as they r finished. anton...time permitting i will be doing a rear bumper to match.
mike....yes the bumper is foam at the mo cos its only the concept model stages, havent decided how it will turn from foam to bumper yet cos theres several different ways i've got churning through me head at the mo. but safe to say it will be using some kind of mould and fibreglass matting. :)

anymore comments feel free............will post new bumper designs sometime sfter christmas (gotta have a rest lol)

Dave, what is it your doing at Uni?

I did a product Design degree and if I had my Nova during that time I would have loved to have done a bodykit for it. Unfortunatley my tutors pretty much dictated what I could and couldn't do for my final year project :(

Personnaly I'm not that keen on the bumper (sorry, but I prefer subtle mods :| ), however from a final year project point of view, I can understand that you need to make something which will give a big impact to the tutors and members of the public who will see it. Also, I suggest not posting too many pics on the net, companies are always looking for ideas and you don't want someone like BAT copying your design. If this is what you want to do when you finish uni, you need to have a few things up your sleeve for interviews.

Good Luck

Jim

im doing a bsc in design technology for industry at mmu. it took quite alot of persuasive banter to convince the tutors to let me design a bodykit lol. my teacher wasn't impressed when everyone else was like 'i'm going to design a revolutionary device to help save deaf, blind and dyslexic africans in the jungle' lmao

as for companies ripping off my ideas i'm not to fussed....i'll take it as a compliment (either that or firebomb their hq lmao)
theres loads more ideas in me head so it really wouldn't bother me cos i know theres more to come. ive got a whole folder full of designs for interviews an stuff. just a case of getting one lol

oh, and i'm not sure if i like it anymore slim so don't worry bout saying how poo it is lol :)

Jim

lol dave. I wasn't saying there poo, just not to my taste.

I know how arsey lecturers can be, just be careful that not doing what they want you to do doesn't jeopardise your final grade. It happens :(

Keep up the good work anyhow :)

don't think theres any chance of me making a real version of that one simply cos i don't like it anymore lol.

the finished article will be a lot madder and featuring some of my fucked up design touches lol. just wait till the pictures go up some time in january i've got some mad ideas for some side vents to act as brake cooling ducts. if you've seen the purple french? civic on hydraulics in max look at the side vents on that and it'll give u some ideas to what the finished article will look like
