Having said that I had to help a cow calve once and what I eventually managed to haul out nearly made me puke - no joke it was the sickest thing. It made your photo look normal micky.
It was a genetic malformity known as a "bulldog" calf. It was about the size of a football, completely round with a stumpy little hoof (about an ich long) at each corner and a weird squashed head that looked like a bulldog ( suprisingly :roll: ). It was grey and had been dead for a bit so she was aborting it and it stank plus it was a twat to get out cos it was a slippery little fcuk and I had a hell of a job to get a rope on it.

Still makes me shiver to think of it. Uurrggh. Sick sick sick.

if you try and imagine it with feathers... it could be a bird... some birds have very stumpy muscular wing base and then have loads of flight feathers over the top - so it could have been some strange looking bird.

But it is quite horrible...

and CP... as for your bulldog calf story - making me wretch mate.
and thats just the thought of going shoulder deep at the back end of a cow. :o
