Agreed with that, my old 1.6 8v did a good 16.5 but the 2.0's have a lot more torque and do go alot better. Let us know if you take it up the pod mate, me and a few others were planning on going up at some point.

NovaNeil off here now has that engine in his red Corsa B
Think he has a WIP on corsa sport.

my old 20seh with big valve head reprofiled cam 4 branch and mbe was rollered at 151bhp at 5800 and ran 14,4 at the pod and thats with striped interior so i would say a standard weight shell and seh would be around 15.5 to 16 second region

speaking of which what are you refering to an seh or an ne because an ne is only a few more bhp than a gsi lump but its alot heavyer so i have never realy in my opinion seen the apeal of doing that anyway

NE would be identical or even maybe slower than a decent 1.6 engine!lol

My old 1.6 nova was a bit quicker than my mates cav with the 20ne so I would say there quite a bit quicker in a nova shell.

Feb 1st sounds like an idea, I might try and see if anyone else from down here is up for it.

the ne has the torque to pull a nova tho. i did a 14.9 in my old std saloon, thats basically a std 4dr merit with a 160,000 mile c20ne. and the f16wr. 's funny but it did 67 in 2nd....

I running a 20 seh, polished head with a cam & vernier, chipped ecu, 4 branch manifold & uprated fuel regulator. Project nearly finished, interior stripped out with just 2 cobra evolutions buckets. spax adjustables all round, If its on the road then definately up for running at pod sometime, will keep a watch on this thread, cheers mark
