How do I tell if I have got the Imersher cam in my Sport?

ive heard people say lately, that if you take the distributer off the end of the cam assembly, you will see some letters or a code or maybe even a manufcaturer stamped on the end of the camshaft

BE WARNED when doing this mark on the body of the dizzy how it came of precisely though, so when you put it back on you can line it up and make sure you put the timing how it was, dont want to advance or retard your engine do we!

Does the Irmscher cam have the same profile as a sport cam ?
If so, who supplies them ( either cam ? )
