Celica has gone to FCM in Bristol to have some work done, and I'm not expecting to have it back til Friday at the earliest.

This means using the Nova this week. Not a problem.

Just went out to remove some stuff out of it, and check the headlamp alignment. Sidelights, check. Dipped beam, fzzzrrrrt pop goes a ballast.

TYPICAL - one of the few times I need the damned car to work and it breaks. Now I only have one working dipped beam headlamp, and its the one with the most cockeyed aim.

Moral of the story, cheap Ebay HIDs are crap.

Surely you've got some ballast to give the Nova RJ :p

I start work at 7, which means driving in about 6:40. Its dark then :p

Might have a fiddle tomorrow, if it still plays gayhats I'll rewire back to halogens and buy some proper HIDs (as tbh after having them in the Celica there's no way I'm putting up with candles)

Really lynz, what were you doing here then?

We have got a couple of KFC`s depending whereabouts you are, used to have three burger kings and are only left now with shatty donalds lol

My kit is a low beam only kit and was £60 from apex, i think the high/low beam kits are about £80 or so!

Depends what you get. Cheap ones are about, but as you can see are rubbish.

I have a set on my Celica, cost £100, from a UK seller on CCUK, came with battery harness etc and tbh they're the best HIDs I've seen - decent brightness and colour, and quick warm up too.
