1.4sr carb/ignition help

standard 1.4 SR engine, ive just got it the engine put it in & i dont have much loom in my car. the bit im stuck on is the connecter that connects the dizzy/amp/coil. ive had to cut it from the other car its come from & just need to know where the wires go..... theres...

brown - earth?

black - ignition 12v live?

green - rev counter/signal?

is this correct??? any help would be great. thanks

Yep thats correct. Just to check the rev counter green one should be IIRC the bottom left if you look at the coil from the engine side.

Yep thats right. What car did you get the loom from?
It plugs in on a nova sr so you shouldn't have had to cut anything, unless it was from an old astra or something.

cheers guys, its from another SR but when i got the car it didnt have hardly any loom because it had twin 40's and some bright spark cut everything else away.

What Type of coil does it have tho?

just connect the black to an ignition live, brown earth to the chassis and green to back of clocks for the rev counter.
