hello all,as iv just got my 1.6 gsi engine today.i still got to take it out) but befor putting in mycar i like to know... what is the best way to clean it any tips ?

any de greaser will do. brush/spray on leave for a bit. wash off.

foamy mr muscle oven cleaner also works a treat too, just don't inhale any of the vapour, it'll rip your lungs apart!

this may sound odd, but fit it first, make it run, then get it steam cleaned..

the reason is this.. you will get it mucky when fitting it, & you don't want to get water into the electrical connectors.
