Here is my Nova SR project. The car is over 16 years old and has suffered rather severly from rust damage, its the same age as myself and i intend to restore the car back to full fast road working order. My dad bought the car as a keep out of mischeif plan and since then i have been hooked on her. For 200pounds the car came as a rolling shell with no engine yet had a full SD-cage within the deal. Firstly after removing such things as drive shafts and body parts which had been thrown into the seating area of the car the angle grinder came out to play. Choping out rust and designing new peices to fit in place took up hours of valuble time and concentration i beleive over-all i welded over 20 patches into the car. Re-building the back end of the car and rear struts came next as rust had practically ruined both areas of the car. After re-manufactoring most of the body work allowed us to seem weld most of the shell giving the car more strength and ridgidity. Then having to re-fabricate the whole rear chassis and towing eye gave us the opertunity to put new sills and wheel arches on which we rolled to take a larger size of rim. Finally making a bespoke rear strut-brace and mount (my own design) shes ready for filler which im not looking forward to then rub down and paint. keep an eye on this project shes going to be a beauty!!!! Here is a slight preview of the first steps of grinding and refiting of body work. U can see how much hard work its been, i even had to make a practically whole new headlight basis as is was ruined by the rust bug.

Here is the saftey devices cage that we got as a free-bi when we bought the car. Its very strong and fits nicely into the car but on the downside i have to paint the bluming thing.

We bought another SR as a doner car to help along with parts. As you can see in this picture we have swapped the tailgate as is a bit newer and wont need as much filler lol

Here we have the rear strut brace me and my dad hand made, we even made the brackets that hold the brace to the struts. I think it looks ace, and its saved us forking out a fair amount of money for a brand new one lol
