View Full Version : Look what we're getting...
The missus and I have been talking about getting one of these for AGES! Always talked ourselves out of it due to work commitments etc etc etc but after a friend of ours dog had a litter of pups and we saw them the other day we couldnt resist any longer. Also managed to get a local dog walker we know to help out in the day once we get her!
Picking her up end of Feb - she's currently 5 weeks old and named Biscuit.

My dad has two JRT's, Laurel and Hardy lol
Laurel is tiny and completely white so we keep saying they got fobbed off with a chiuaua (how the hell do you spell that!)
They had a basset for a while but Hardy and the basset started ripping the **** out of each other xmas before last so basset had to go
My little boarder pup.

Dar - Biscuit will do for now however JRT's have a trendancy to be nutters so I'm guessing her name will morph into summut else pretty quickly!

Cheers, no I dont work them, daves always been really well built (hes just over 10kg right now)but I do spend a lot of time exercising them. Tommy is a bit skinny but only had him as a rescue a month ago - hes put on 2kg since we had him and hes still way behind dave.

Id even consider going to dog training classes with a dog called stay...
Aww, lovely :)
My puppy is a big lad now. He's torn a muscle in his shoulder though so no walks for 6 weeks the vet says. It's only been a day and he's already going nuts, ripping up everything in sight. Ah well, I got 4 pairs of slippers for christmas anyway lol.
I want a Newfoundland but they're well too big for a little house so I'll have to wait until I'm rich :) Dougie will want to call it Derek or Ian.
Ernie, are you bringing Splitty to Billing? :p
Prey.. nice one.. im just working lennox into shape.. going ratting one weekend see how he does(need to buy some mice 1st see if he kills them or licks em todeath lol..
Lynz... dotn wait 6weeks.. he will be all stiff.. give him 4weeks and give him a 10min walk.. round the block or summing, and slowly build him up dotn rest him to long as he wil get lazy(well most do) i had a weightpull staffy and he fell of a patio chair and slipped a disc and we rested him for 6-7weeks and he wouldnt pull or even be arsed to go for walks..

^ Did you put your name at the bottom just in case Lynz didn't know it was from you? lol :p

I dont think dave would be much use cause we had him from a pup and always had rats so hes not bothered by them in the slightest - tommy however would eat anything that scuttles....
tommys still timid when playing tho cause I think hes had some hammer in the past - dave you can pick up and swing round if you want to (typical terrier ha ha).
They are stubborn etc etc but a lot of fun and great personalities i think!
Any (edit! more) pics of yours?
(Double edit!) Id forgotten what a milky eyed littlebugger dave used to be:

Dude, no offence but I've had dogs my whole life- I really don't need the advice  Obviously I'm not sticking him in a straight-jacket, he has no chance of getting 'stiff' lol Just that he's a mad little thing and he needs calming right down or he'll injure himself more. He's allowed in the garden, just not the mental trecks we go on. I'm going to get fat from not taking him :(
Lynz (just incase).
