Ive done it on mine, theres loads of differences.

FPR/Injectors
Loom/Ecu
AFM/TPS(throttle body is different too)
Exhaust Cam and cam sensor trigger
DISpak(the early heads dont have the mounting lugs for the dispak either)
Inlet air temp sensor

Off the top of my head.....

And the gains of going to coil pack would be?...

The later management is apparently better, as is the afm.

And you can bin the 1970s dizzy and coil setup, for what is in theory a much more reliable setup.

I wouldnt bother, i prefer dizzy engines. The gain for all the hassle isnt worth it unless your already missing all the bits for a dizzy setup anyway?

I'd rather a coil pack engine as there's not as many moving parts on the coil pack as the dissy, so therefore its less likely to go wrong! I've only had the car back a day and im having problems with it (please see my other thread for details)

i have pretty much every single thing (prob do have evry single thing) needed to convert to DIS.

loom
ecu
exhaust cam
cam sensor
coil pack and bracket
ignition amp
every single sensor inc afm and IAT and pipes

and anything else lol if ur gonna convert and need anything let me know. its possible to do in a day, only arkward bit is you gotto take the cambelt off to switch the exhuast cam (hour job)
