just a quick one, is it legal to have a single wiper, and if so is it legal to have it parked in the middle of the screen?

I was told by police osifer that it was blocking my line of site and was a mot failure

It is interfering with your vision parked up the middle of the screen, I'd say it was a grey area with most police though, obviously single wipers aren't illegal but they cannot block your view of the road and must wipe the drivers side first (This was what my mot tester told me).

I'd say they probaby would do you for impaired vision or some other pointless bollocks. Most (all?) cars that have single wipers from the factory have the park position at the bottom of the screen.

Wonder if he would claim a split screen VW bus's windscreen impaired vision too? lol

Just spoke to the MOT tester at work, and it will pass an MOT but it CANNOT sit in the middle of the screen :thumb: Hope that helps.
