I have these on my car and my wheels hit on the strut/spring/adjuster, so i took the helper springs out and now sits quite high. Don't want to use spacers to solve the problem, will shorter springs work? I only need about an inch smaller then i will have no trouble with it hitting the adjuster as it will be above the tyre so to speak?

Jay :)

I'd assume a shorter spring would help, as you'd wind the adjuster up to retain the same ride height and it'd clear the tyre. As long as the tyre is only hitting the spring platform and not the shock.

removing the helper spring SHOULD have moved the platform etc further up and miss the tyre anyway

It has but now sits too high, and i moved the adjuster up to where the spring sits and its still too high.

Yes it hits on the spring/adjuster, not the shock itself.

my spax rsx coilovers did the same thing... Had to run 5mm spacers :(

alternatively reduce the camber??

Camber is level, like in between neg and pos so its at 0.

I've heard of the same issues with numerous manufacturers stuff tbh.

I should be going down the gaz route, so should not have any problem with them as i know people who have them and have had no problem.

Yeah - sorry I was bein a bit cruel, but my point is, for the money you paid, you can get a decent fixed platform set (Billy's etc) that you wont have any problem with...

I too had this prob with my old RSX's.

Surely removing the helper gave you 2inchs more clean ance, so if its a big bring it down more till its just above the tyre...

A std leg, the cup the spring cuts in is only a few mm from the tyre.

Well i supose its not "too" high but i want it lower, any tips, cant afford to change sus setup yet.

Do what i just said, wind it down tillthe adjuster is just above the tyre..

But then when its jacked up the spring moves freely up and down?

So? Most do that. With the weight of the car on it it wont lift.

Oh right ok then, thought this was a problem, will do this the day the cars back, thanks Benn:thumb:
