Feck me, i found this in a local motor factors today and even text the picture of it to jack lol
Its australian damp start and they also do another stronger type called "For christ sake, come on" :thumb:
lol i need that for my nova
lmfao thats awesome. i usually use any old solvent tho. brake cleaner works well
My mates old 106 needed help from some form of substance to start it, would just turn over but never fire and we tried it on lynx as it was the only stuff left and hey presto it worked lol
He made sure he had some with him all the time after that as he regularly need it for some reason, i think this stuff wouldve worked better haha!
I always thought this stuff was made by Wynns and is supposedly inspired by Basil Fawlty lol
Ive never seen it before today which is why i found it rather amusing that i found a tin today and then dar posted this up, freaky eh lol
Aye very lol
As per above agreed. Anything slightly flamable = easy start / carb cleaner lol
easy start is like cocaine for engines.... one sniff and they are hooked.
I've found once you use easy start on a engine, you always have to use the sodding stuff :( lol

Youre not the only one ive heard say that, out valeter used to have a high spec mini 1275GT, and in cold or wet weather he had to use that a few times and he said after a couple of times using damp start he always had to use it afterwards as his engine was "addicted" to it, i wasnt too sure of that but i spose having to use lynx on my mates 106 sorta proves this aswell lol
Reminds me of a range evo stik used to do, the trade version of full strength no more nails was called "sticks like sh!t" lol it could seal a pocket of air between 2 sheets of plastic underwater though apparently
Stu's dead right. Be very careful about using any of the easy start aerosols:eek:
They are best used on old school heavy duty diesel engine. Do not be tempted to use them on healthy modern engines. If you squirt in too much the engine will make massive knocking noises on at least one cylinder which sounds like massive detonation. I've always assumed that compression is greatly increased temporarily putting too much strain on the rings etc which would perhaps be the explanation for the addiction issues?

this stuff is also used by pikeys to knock out guard dogs.. apparently it works like chloroform..... I would only use this on a petrol engine if it got to minus 25c..
as above, never use on a healthy engine..
