Does anyone know where you can get hold of astra/cav 16v rear caliper dust shields and piston seals from apart from a vauxhall dealer.

The rear discs are fitted with dust shields, on the handbrake pulley thing there is a spring to hold the arm back which attatches onto the shield. I took the front dust shield off the front because the Nova ones are too small to house the bigger GTE discs and people say to bend it back, I couldnt be bothered to take the hubs off to but the Astra ones on because it is too cold. Maybe a job for next year when the car comes off the road.

my apologies,i remember the rear discs do have a shield-doh! and yes, they are needed, without them the handbrake wont have anything to attach to.
i should remember, as i stripped cav sri rear discs down only couple of weeks ago, mind has been like a sieve recently. :(
the shields you may get from a scrappy somewhere.
