THIS IS A COPY OF A MESSAGE IVE RECENTLY RECEIVED

PLEASE READ THIS AND PASS IT TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS, iT IS SO IMPORTANT

Please sign this petition to save the UK club and LIVE music scene...

IF THE LAW PASSES, IT MEANS THE END OF CLUB/RAVE/CONCERTS LETS STOP THEM WHILST WE CAN!!!

It seems the government is thinking 'what better way to start the New Year, than to take another God given right away from everyone!’

Yes that’s right the Government are trying to pass legislation to force all entertainment venues to have noise control limiters fitted. This means the end of live music, nightclubs etc as we know it! No more oversized collection of speakers, no more massive F1 and Turbo stacks, no more throwing club nights the way we want! I'm sure I'm not speaking for myself when I say that when I go to a club, the last thing on my mind is being able to stand in front of the stack with a cup of tea, chatting about Antiques Roadshow - I wanna actually hear and feel the music the way it should be heard!

Please, please, please, take a minute to sign this petition. This is just one more thing to add to the list that the Government feels that they should be in control of. It won't take long to sign up, and please hurry as the cut off date is 23rd January! STAND UP, AND BE HEARD!

Please forward this message to all your friends, and if you are part of any other groups/forums ect, please inform Admin so that they can get the masses involved!

Once again:
CUT OFF DATE: JANUARY 23rd 2009!!!

lol RANDOM uppercase words in the PETITION description do not MAKE me want to sign up TO it tbh

Anyway, the government ignores online petitions. Mr Brown will just reply to everyone saying "thanks for making your opinion known, but as I'm a giant sausage eating cockmaster squid faced munchkin I'm going to ignore you all and do it anyway".

Like the smoking ban, if it comes into play then if everywhere has it then meh no biggie.... infact there are a lot of funkwits with mullered hearing about anyway.

In many ways I wish I looked after my hearing a bit better as high frequency stuff is on its way out for me :(

Its the loud high frequencies in a club that damage your hearing, i recommend ear plugs, i have a set that a custom made to block out the harmfull frequencies but i can still have a chat behind the decks and you cant see them.... At the end of the day if people want to go into a club they know what they are getting in to so i dont see the problem. From the out side its only the low tones that are heard/felt and they arent very harmfull.

I cant see it happening tbh, it will create an angry mob of deaf people on acid.

They could ban smoking because the only risk was a load of unfit people wheezing a lot lol

I bet this was an article in the daily mail anyway, before the 'We're Doomed' article and after the 'the government want to tax oxygen' feature.

ummm, it's already in action...

Just hard to police. It's mainly to do with the working conditions for club staff.

*my source is my parents PA and Lighting company BTW.

Oh for god sake. If they didnt want to be there, they should get a job somewhere else. Infant schools should be banned in that case, because they are fecking germ infested and the teachers shouldn't be exposed!

Ear plugs for bar staff and radiation suits for infant school teachers if i was PM!

So why should somebody annoy the general public to entertain a few hundred people????
night club owners make enough money to soundproof their premises...

maybe they will use the law to stop idiots driving round annoying thousands of people with loud bass in their small cars when they could quite easily use an mp3 player or speaker headphones to enjoy the music without the rest of thetown they live in thinking they enjoy sex for one..........

Lee, I don't think its the club staff that are complaining, it will be EU legislation that Brussels is leaning on us hard to take on. Like the 40 hour week and all that gubbins.
