I have a cav sri 130 engine in my nova and plan to spend a bit of money on it. I am not sure as to what i should do, either twin carbs, throttle bodies, or a turbo conversion. What i need is some detailed information about each thing inc suppliers, costs, ease of conversion. I think throttle bodies would suit me best but how do you tell the ecu how much air is entering the engine? Please help

id have thought youd see better gains from well set up carbs on an 8v engine like yours. tbs on 8vs are rare.

youd need the ecu remapped to suit the tbs as well and would prob be better off with a new ecu from the likes of sbd.

turbo.... u like a reliable car? cos that would soon change if u turbod the engine.

either way its expensive tuning an 8v engine as you can spend ???????? and not even have standard 16v performance.

may be better putting 16v in there and tuning that

i have done a few minor mods to my engine and it already has more power/torque than my mates standard valver. What bhp should a standard valver push out?

150/156 so you must have done a lot to your engine unless hes got an ecotech
