+1, I always get or used to get branded a chav simply because i own/owned a nova and the harder you protest your lack of chavviness the more they bantered tbh.
It has a nasty stigma attached to it which i can never see being fully left behind, but ignore or agree with all the twits who try and wind you up and get on with things:thumb:

Everytime a Corsa driver see's a Nova they do feel very threatened! Anyone else noticed that ?

the nova is a past boy racer car and the saxo is the presant boy racer car.
Im going with Saxo.
Was going down a country lane today when some complete tool in a Saxo Furio came up about 2 foot from my bumper, massive aluminium E-Tech rear spoiler, a sunstrip the size of nova sr door vinyl, and headlamps on full beam with front foglamps full on too :roll:
I was kind of hoping he'd try to keep up when the speed limit when to national limit and he'd loose it on a bend :D
Didnt happen though so i just left him behind :(

i said corsa but also think saxo and most ned/chav has a modded one in the drive but cant drive it lol

I always remember seeing loads of mk2 fiestas with big bores so i would say that was the cavvyest car, although it was years ago, but now (although i got branned a chav tonight, by a chav which was funny, for owning a nova) I would say corsa or saxo/106 hence i voted saxo, just because I hate them!
saxos are the most chav at presant but the nova was them many years ago.
its the nova its got to be or the chaviler
The cav was a good contender tbh but these days its definately the saxo but the nova will always be the chav car grandaddy of them all!

Use to and will always be a Nova.
But at present it has to be a Saxo, cheap and modernish; much like a Nova 8-10 years ago.
the last option is wrong. it should be has a car but still has to walk everywhere :(

Voted Saxo purely because the term NED came about long after the Nova's hayday. Saxo's are still being driven by Neds, whereas Novas are driven by enthusiasts.

The crown of most boy racer car 10 years ago would have been obviously a Nova, but nowadays the Saxos and Corsa have become more popular.
IMO mk1 Imprezas have turned into a boy racers dream :D

For me in the 80's I'd say xr2/3's, early - mid 90's Nova all the way, then Saxo but these days it's Clio's, Corsas and mk5 Fiestas. I don't see as many barried Saxos as I used to :( All my mates that have had VTR/S etc minus the fibreglass have even moved on.
Oh I also nominate the 1400 MG ZR lol
Seem to still be saxos/106s round us - fair few mk5 festers too.

XR3i is the ultimate Boyracer car, depsite being virtually unseen nowadays, it was at the time and still is the ultimate Boyracer car ever.
But for the current award, it has to be shared between the 106 and the Saxo.

I voted Saxo's as some cuntish Saxo driver cut me up on the M4 this week.
I was pulling on to the M4 and had Saxo in front of me lorry infront of Saxo.
I pulled in to the middle lane to overtake both, Saxo pulls out to middle lane, so I went to the fast lane (brum brum). What does the **** do, yep pull out to the fast lane forcing me to brake, sound horn and generally get angry.
No-one in the middle lane and bugger all traffic (twas 11pm), so I just undertook him and not especially quickly either.
Said Saxo was blue with 5 people with baseball caps and stupid lexus or whatever rear lights.

Most times im in my spare room as i have a pic of my old one in there!!
I loved my cabrio, but hated the CVH, its for that reason I would never own another CVH based Ford.

can i just say, all cars, especially hot hatches, will have a chav/ned following. i personally dont see the appeal of kitted saxo's, but having owned a phase 1 106 as my first car, it handled well, and never really went wrong, which considering it had 230k on it when i sold it (diesel), and is STILL on the road, and the current owner has just done 300k, i feel that tag of chav caqr is a bit wrong. a mate has just bought a vtr saxo and wants to turbocharge it, ao having donned my reebok classics and burberry cap, i went on www.saxosportsclub.com (http://www.saxosportsclub.com) . i was amazed! the guys on there arn't the usual chav saxo owners, and spend and love their cas as much as we do. the early saxos and 106's are loosing their chav status, like the nova has done. i'm also a memvber of a few other vauxhall sites, one being corsa-c.co.uk, which is at the minuite dying on its **** due to the high chav/ned populatiuon on there, so much so that a few of the lads who have z20let c's have set up another all vauxhall forum, at www.vxcc.co.uk (http://www.vxcc.co.uk) . these uys take their cars very seriously, and are very formidable cars. so as i said, each car has chav/ned status, just that some have it more than others. the basic chav/ned rules seem to be,
1. ripspeed stereo ( as much as you can get for £200)
2. lexus lights (died off in 2002 anywhere else)
3. cheap multifit alloys (that don't fit)
4. 5" or 6" universal savage backbox (well raspy fella!)
5. as many mates as is possible (these guys put cattle lorrys to shame)
6. at least 1 14-18 year old girl (who has a bottle of lambrini surgically attached to her hand)
7. 12" sunstrip ( so you cant see fook all unless you lay down in the seat)
8. the latest baseline or speed garage cd,s (all copy's from saturday market)
9. 24 pack of stella, and 1/8th of weed ( "not ours officer, honest blud!")
and the last most important mod,
10. ebay race mode chip mod switch (" goes like a vts fella, had a astra vxr last nite 5 up y0)
all this in a saxo 1.1 east coast............
it has to be the Corsa FFS. Open any Mag and theres at leats 1 feature car, look at the Chav Goodies available for them.
Also, the origional Boy Racer and probably the Best, the Escort XR3i???
