My left hand side suspension makes a massive bang when you go over a bump at any reasonable speed. The shock seems to work properly and looks new. Anyone got any ideas of what it could be?? Bushes or something???

Thanks for any help

if its the rear one then it could be the back box touching the spring

It does sound like your backbox hitting the rear beam.

As for lowering it, slam it 60mm

ya the back box or pipe into it is prob catchin the beam. drop it 60 but get a shock and spring that match.

front or rear?
if front then bumpstops or top mounts, mine did the same. took off susp and the rubber on top mount was knackered making a loud bang.

lower it 40 mill if you want good handling, and you dont want to get beached on speed bumbs. If you just want looks drop it 60 mill

Sorry for taking so long to reply been very busy. The problem is the front susp and only seems to do it when you go over things forward. I tried hitting a speed bump in reverse to see if it did it but it didn't. I might not have been going fast enough though??

Something to do with a tie bar or something that stops the wheel from going back as well as up perhaps??

Any more help out there??
