bastard gearbox!!

This morning when driving my 1.4 sr(G reg) Iwent to shift from 4th to 5th
and the gear box made a nasty snapping/grinding/crunching sort of noise and wouldn't drive in 5th. It drives in all other gears still but makes a grinding rattly noise
Any ideas whats vup, and how difficult is it 2 change the gear box? .....cheers

Could be that the 5th gear has stripped, easy to check as you only have to pull the end cover. As for changing the gearbox its easily done in under an hour.

could be clutch?
go to your nearest vauxhall dealership and tell em
"oi, my nova needs sorting, NOW!"
And theyll do it for you.
