Fan belt

CAn anyone help the fan belt on my 1.0 nova squeaks and really pisses me off I have changed the fan belt last week but it still does it. HELP!!!

hmm
u mean the alternator drive belt?

teh fan on a nova is electric so it doesnt have a belt

if its the alt belt then u need to tension it up a bit

if it keeps goin slack then im guessing theer is some other issue like the tensioning bolt is nackered

Before you try tightening it up again, check that the alternator pulley bearing hasn't gone. It should spin fairly freely with no discernible play in any direction.

It sound like the bearing are fcuked as CP says, it happen when the belt is too tight.
