An N reg/96 Ford escort.

What version number is the car, a mk5 or mk6

can be both. The mk5 has squarer headlights, and the mk6 has more rounded and slightly smaller headlights, and also more rounded bumpers.

just had a look in the CAP book, and I reckon the 96' will be a mk6, which is the last shape they made.

its a mk6,coz theres a n reg siting in my drive at the moment.
looks shit,

mk5 's have the big smiley chrome grille in the bonnet.
mk6 's have a shitty little black grille which isnt fixed to the bonnet

I'm sure that there was a mk7 Escort, I have seen at least 3 adverts for mk7 Escorts. I think you might be wrong Apple :oops: because my mate Chris has a Mk 5 Escort with the grille built in to the bumper, my brother(note I am his keeper) has a Mk 6 Escort with the grille built in to the bonnet(like the bonnet I used for the flying machine) and the Mk 7 had the chrome grille that was with the bumper
