View Full Version : Gsi Track Car No More

Some may have seen pics of this car on various forums etc. in the past. J294 FHU.
Got it 3 years ago as it was going for scrapping then but i thought it was worth saving so took it on and turned it into my track car. Put a valver in her, stripped out the interior and went hell for leather round Knockhill.
Went through a few engines so decided to do a full engine rebuild with competition parts. This was done about 2 years ago and never looked back since, went round and round knockhill consistently and went rather well with the help of some fast road courtenay cams with tuned ecu to match and some other small but effective mods that surprised a few folks ;)
I decided this winter to strip her down to check and repair any necessary bodywork etc. but unfortunately this was disastrous as it was now fair to say that all those years round the track proved fatal. :cry:

So i have stripped her down to the bare shell and am selling most of the parts and keeping a few which in all will aid with my mk1 project so all is not lost :D

RIP NovaScotia (thats what my better half called her) lol

:( What happned to her mate ? get some pics up, are you sure it wasnt repairable ? how'd it get so bad ? another nova gone :(

Was just neglect chief and having too much fun razzing her round knockhill, as long as she went and looked good that was all that mattered....
Rear panel rotten, floor starting to go on passenger side, rear arches gone completely hidden well under catty, front chassis legs, splash guards, front panel and various others. :cry:
Decided i'd be better cutting my losses and putting my money and effort into my mk1 project to get it finished for the summer :D

Pity mate, looks a tidy car.

Im also liking those wheels a lot in black. Another option added to the 15" upgrade list for me.

Yeh shes away, was a spur of the moment thingy. Plus i didnt really want anyone else running about in her, would just sicken me :(

Onwards & upwards as they say ;)
