a bit heavy yer but im fitting a 20ne at the moment and dont want the car twisting when pulling away so i was goin to fabricate my own front and rear strut braces and a few add ons in the boot to the rear brace so it was stiff and there would be very little chance of any nasties happening when pulling away quick

Nope. Scaf tube has a seam where it's rolled/jointed. A proper cage uses seamless tubing for strength and safety ;)

Its galvanised steel aswell, so lets off some uber toxic fumes when you take a welder to it ;) good luck cutting it BTW, youll need it :thumb:

you can get front braces for about £25 on the bay, & rear ones are as much use as bulls tits. they are only needed if rear coilovers are fitted & then a brace between the turrets is still pretty much useless unless its X tied into a cage.

Oh, and scaffolding is weak & heavy. but keep a 15" bit to hit pikeys with

lol not very much useless well it is until the pikeys come lol
and why would you say a rear brace is useless?
wouldnt it keep the rear end from flexing and stop any unwanted movement etc?.
