Gsi Exhaust and D/pipe probs

I bought a new system for my nova gsi cos the one on it seemed to be far to small and restrictive, dont even think it was a gsi one. anyway came to fit it and it wont meet the downpipe thats on the car but i think that its been swapped and a lower model one has been thrown on, checked my mates GTE and that has a different style one.

The one on the gsi has two quite thin pipes which go into one bout 3/4 of the way down the pipe.

The one on the gte is two pipes which kinda merge to one right at the end of the downpipe and its slightly longer i think - should the gsi have this one too?

The Gsi is a 91 pre-cat and the system i have to go on it is a magnex stainless?

The GSi one had merged together near the end like the GTE one you describe. Get the GTE style set up like your m8's cos that sounds to be the right one from how you describe it
