Had a search, found one thread which was about as useful as a spitroast at a vegan convention lol

I will be removing my front upper strut brace at some point, its a 1.3SR one (i.e. the kinked one, not a straight one) and fits round my XE with a powercap. Will it also fit an XE with a normal SFi box?

I don't think I've seen a strut brace fitted with a SFI box?
Only 1 I could get to fit my XE with a ecotec pipe was a GTE 1 fitted the wrong way round!

That looks like the same brace as I have fitted on my 1.2 (below)

Dan, with the SFI box on though?

Poo. Well I have a straight one too (looks to be the same as the GTE one Adam D and Nova_tek posted), I was just summing up my options for selling one, which will no doubt be the one that would be easier to sell lol

I have an E-tech one as well, it touches the SFi box but at least it stops the engine jumping about in the bay now :D

No it wont fit when in the normal way.
If you spin it round 180 degrees like in xe nova's pic, it JUST catches the left hand edge (when lookin from front) near the S of SFi.

I cut and rewelded mine so the kink was on the way round:

Works well!

Im just wondering, would the turret strengthening plates raise the brace up slightly?

Hopefully mine will somehow fit coz I really cant be bothered to sell this one and find another.

You could raise it up, but then it catches on the bonnet instead!
