brake hoses

in the process of changing my brake hoses for braided steel ones.
the problem i have found is...where the hoses connects to the solid line, i cant for the life of me get this joint undone! the smaller nut on the solid line seems to just be round.

has anybody got any ideas on how i could get these undone without cutting anything?

I found one of those spanners that goes tighter the more force you put on it works well. It f**ks the union nut though so you might have trouble tightening it back up.
I ended up replacing every brake line on my car due to that exact problem lol
