Sorted out a good deal with Craig (novathere) for this R1 Carbs and Dizzy set-up...

This is going to be going on the nova :D

Will tidy up the engine bay, freshen up the engine, fit a new clutch and wack them on. Was making 164hp as is, so hoping for anything around 175-180ish-hp and nice tasty gargle to go with it! :p Then get out there and actually use the car on track this year! ;)

Good times :thumb:

Interested to see the RR results - although I would aim for 170-5 tbh...:)

Me too... I couldnt afford tb's, and with most "good" cams need mods and pistons it was the logical step. Looking to pop up to Tom's at some point, if i can for him to set them up and then i can get them on the rollers after. They're the equivalent of weber 45's, so would hope for more than 5bhp 10-15hp is acceptable. :)

Looks a good setup.

What have you done to get 164hp to begin with?

mantzel powercap, straight through exhaust, cda filter, fpr, top end rebuild. not alot...
The day i bought it put it on the roller swith a wide band lambda and it ran 159hp but really rich... leaned it off and got 169hp but too lean. settled for 164hp at 12.5:1 AFR. If I use the same rollers and get 175hp say, i know i got a 10hp increase... Its just a figure... It ran a 14.1 at pod :)

just take it to the same RR to see what gain you get - the figure means jack tbh.

Will be good to measure % increase though!

the 164 figure is a bit high, but the 14.1 quarter is a bit tasty!;)

Yeh, I'm just looking for the increase... car does run a quife lsd :) does help down pod lol

valvercorsa who's selling the C20XE ready to go with the bogg brothers r1 carb conversion made 186hp, and its the identical kit to what i'm going to be running. Only difference is a mildly ported head.

Need to get them fitted first, need to find some silicone hosing and a throttle cable.
