engine number help

i am in the process of registering my c20xe on the log book, i have come across 2 numbers one on the gearbox at the front and one on the front of the block behind the oil dip stick tube. which one is it???
one of them starts with c20xe
any help??

The number after "C20xe" is the engine number

Its about 7 numbers/letters. Think its just numbers on a xe
