Hi everyone,

I've decided to take my nova off the road and purely use it or trackdays. Going to look out for a full cage and fit the R1 carbs i'm picking up today :D

I want to lighten the shell as much as poss... Boot, doors, bonnet(?) etc

Anyone got advice and pics?

Thanks all,

Chris

Fiberglass Panels?

^^^ is the best way to go but for the cheap option you basically chop as much of the insides and frame out as you dare

just cut the door frames, rear quaters, tailgate insides back as far as you can to the edge of the internal frames.the stiffness comes from the skin edge mainly and will only slightly be affected by taking these out.

But yea id say fibreglass too, but if its not an option, hack away...!

well i assume you will be having door bars? if so completely gut the door out, bonnet you can cut away pretty much all the strengthening bar the stuff along the front if you know what i mean. the tailgate you can butcher and it'll be fine

Bonnet

Doors (Note that you can only do this if your going to run polycarb windows and dont need the winder mechanism)
