Like wise, i'll return the filter if it turns up after you've done the refund.

I always send stuff recorded mail, at least then it can be tracked online.

Been scammed/not received/buyers not received far too many times :(

Indeed there is.

I remember someone once telling me if nobody claims it they open up all the parcels and sell the contents... not sure how true that is though.

I remember a few years back, the postman would come the same time as the milkman, i.e. ~6am. Now we're lucky to get the post before 7pm each day...

I received a parcel today, that went through the post on 11/12/08 lol lol
1st class too lol

But apart from that ive never really had a complaint with them. Ive never had anything missing that ive sent out. The only thing i havent received in the post is my tickets/pass for PVS08, f**k knows where they went but someone was probably a vauxhall fan and used them! lol

Never had an issue with Royal Mail TBH. I ordered an item yesterday, arrived this morning.

Maybe in the run up to christmas they have more mail to deal with? Or maybe they should work and walk faster  lol

its funny but as mentioned anything thats "big" fails -

Royal Mail = Royal Fail - 3 to 5 yrs delivery time!
ParcelForce = Parcel Farce - I've lost count of damaged packages!
First Scotrail = first scotfail after they disaster that was the line improvements over Christmas up by me!

Makes you sick.

You all seem keen to send stuff recorded but even still that cannot guarantee delivery, but you can claim for a loss.

i know but you can use your tracking number in the post office to show them it hasnt been delivered and then say WTF plus you get peace of mind it has been delivered when the person doesnt say they got it.

In terms of "normal" post, Recorded delivery doesn't track where the item is (for that you need Special Delivery), just whether or not someone has signed for it. Bear in mind the postie could have signed for it then chucked the mail in the hedge.

You can also claim for loss of any item of mail. Just print out a form from the RM website, attach the proof of posting (you're all getting proof of posting for important stuff you send, right?) and follow the instructions on the form. That will also tell you how much you can claim.

To be honest; I've been selling things on ebay for years. Every single time I offer "normal" post (1st class/standard parcels) along with a "premium" option (special delivery/Parcel Force 24/postal insurance etc). And every single time the buyer ALWAYS picks the cheapest.

LMFAO I would be giving you rep for that if you had it enabled :p

Agreed mayhem, what doesn't make sense is the complete randomness! some mail will arrive next day, some weeks later and some not at all!

well my mother-in-law posted us a letter before xmas at 6.30am and we had it at 3pm the same day

we seem to have to deliveries at our house aswell, one about 9am and one about 2pm

raymond
07-01-09, 06:53 PM
royal mail working hours

6-2 full time
9-2 part time

only one delivery a day now suppose to be
reason for later deliverys ie 3pm 4pm is if someone goes sick or it needs covering on overtime which means when we finish our delivery and we go out on another thats why it gets later and later

xmas was eveing with parcels never seen ewt like it in all the time ive worked for them
