radiator

am i right in think the 1.4 sri radiator is different to the 1.2?
sure a mate pointed few things out to me that was different.

also what else did the same radiator come in ? ie 1.3-1.6.

struggling like hell to find a radiator

Wrong section.

I *think* 1.3 and above have the same rads. 1.poo and lower have a different radiator. Slightly smaller i belive. And the bottom pins mount in different places.

1.2 to 1.6 have the same rad, the 1lt has the smallest rad, and the derv have a bigger one but the pipes are all wrong.

benn the 1.2 rad is smaller iirc, it kinda sits on stilts, the ohv rad is completely different, as is the derv.

Thats the 1lt rad, vx list the 1.2 to 1.6 as the same part number.

ebay "nova radiator" i just bought one for the gsi and yes as benn says the 1.2 to the 1.6 are the same!!

The 1.2 rad is deffo different, i could go and take pics but i cbalol
The 1.3/4/6 rad is full length, the 1.2 is the same width but sits on stilts.

Ohv radiator is completely different as said, but can be made work with an ohc engine with cut and shut pipe and hoover piping :p .

I think it varies from car to car, or some have had replacements with the bigger type?

My 1,2 j reg had a large full size rad, my 1983 A reg had the bigger rad, my 1984 1 ltr had the smaller rad

The bigger rad fits all apart from the diesel as mentioned. The bottom hose will be different if the car origionally had the smaller rad

I know the 1lt one is, and have seen the one with the stilts but only seen that in the 1lt and a few very early 1.2s, the trade club book i have right here lists the 1.2 to 1.6 all having the same rad.

Either way, some 1.2 but all 1.3-1.6 rads are te same.
