Ever since ive had the LET ive had problems. I was close to getting rid as it simply didnt end. Recently its been great with loads of stuff replaced.

However!! I now have a misfire from cold (like it floods it with fuel). Once it gets slightly warm you can drive the car hard out of the misfire (almost like clearing it out). Once you start flooring it upto 4.5k it seems happy. Once its hot its perfect.

To me it sounds like CTS which ive replaced. Checked the plug and wires that connect to it also.

Replaced following all within 400 miles of use....

Head
Every gasket
Fuel pump
Injectors (brand new)
CTS
Plugs GM
Leads GM
Rotor
Dizzy
Coil
Checked alternator for charging (perfect)
earths (every last one then checked again)
Intake air sensor (located in top hat)

Anyone had a similar problem? Its defo to do with temperature as once its hot and you have driven out the misfire (usually good 10-12mins) its perfect.

Im planning on swapping AFM and crank sensor just to rule them out. Its superchips phase 1 and boosts great, had it rolling roaded 500 miles ago and made exact spec power.

Help!? :thumb:

AFM?? thats what i think. when i had the xe i had the same prob, before i got a new 1 i flushed it through with petrol (as i knew i was getting a new 1) and then i tried it seemed to stop the missfire. its amazing the dirt the collect just use a screwdriver and flick the metal ring off at the split then rinse i used a toothbrush to clean the metal innards but do not touch the wire!

XE Nova - cheers for that, ill give it a try. Ive still got it in my head that its something to do with coolant temp sensor even though ive changed it. My mate has a spare AFM so ill swap over first then clean mine out. Cheers, lets hope it works.
