The heat-shield on the underside of my car is hanging off and rattling off the exhaust
Just by the centre section / Cat
Are these needed or can they be removed ?
Cheers, Vaughan

So there will be no dramatic heat increase inside the car or on the exhaust or anything ?
Just needed to clear this up before I actually do rip it off lol
nope only tacked on basically we have loads come in at work due to the speedbumps and lanes near where i work but you shouldnt weld near a cat becuase it destroys it so we just pull them off lol
Nah it'll be fine, you won't notice any temp increase inside the car.
My floor only gets slightly warm and thats with the middle box tucked right up against the floor, thats with no carpets either.
Get it ripped off !

lol
So I should be OK with mines being removed ?
Yup
Tenner says the nuts that hold it on snap off when you undo them anyway, so it wont be going back on! lol

lol My dad has already told me that
F*ck it lol
Rip it off!!!
You will probably have to bend it etc to remove it too, as you have to keep twisting it to get it over and cat/exhaust.

No problem man I'll remember that when I'm underneath the car
I'll let you know how I get on
The noise of it hitting the exhaust is horrible lol
