cav internal shifter

i've just read the how to thread on this but still cant find out if the small kink right at the end of the shifter rod is ok, or if it is supposed to be straightened aswell?

any help would be great

Sure its supposed to be straightened, ive not done it only read the how-to so its in there somwhere

Astra Mk2 are the easiest, as the kink is only slight....

do you still have to cut the mk2 astra rod dwn to fit a nova

The kink is irrelevant, as you cut and weld the linkage to suit.
