Alright folks, been speaking to a few lads about this and seems like it could be a good idea..

anybody up for a meet in the next couple of months at Kames Track in Ayrshire, Scotland?

Good little track with a few extra wee rally roads to play on and plenty parking space to get the cars together..

i am e-mailing the car club that owns/runs kames just now to see how much it will be to hire it for the day ect..

anybody interested?

put your names down if you are..

3. Vaughan (dont know if he would want to take his nova on the track though)

i have another lad down here that would come up with his 1600 gte nova rally car aswell to make numbers up..

Aye I'm up for it mate and I'd probably take the Nova round - Might as well give it some abuse while its all legal you know lol

Greg with the silver Nova and F plate SR would probably come up to it as well and have a bash round

Also David and Gordan would likely come up with their Nova's :D

I would consider going if the turnout was going to be good.

Wouldn't put it on the track but as long as the TD is back on the road I would head over for this

Would be nice to see the old TD.

I'd come along too if it was late Jan/ early Feb when the Nova's back on the road.

Its not that bad a drive from Carlisle really, i done a sprint there at the start of june, its fairly small and twisty with quite a narrow track, i wouldn't say its a high speed track so chances of you recking your car if you do come off are pretty low.
If non of you's have been on a track before then this wouldn't be a bad one to start on.

I've been passenger round it many a times and the track isn't that big but my mates 1.4 SPi Astra can see 70 or sometimes 80 down the main straight and thats a standard car

I'm not sure when this would be possibly March if that suits people ?

Me or Greg sure will speak to the organisers of Kames and see if we can book a space - A Sunday probably...?

spoke to the organisers, i can get the track for £525 for the day. that includes all insurance rubbish ect..lol

£525 ois a fair bit though, as the last few times i have been up it has only cost me £25 for the day..

if we could get maybe 15-20 cars it would bring the price to about 25-35quid roughly for the day..

also anybody that is not already a member of the eacc needs to join which is £20..

it will be well worth it though imo, get a good scottish/nova meet and a blast round the track..

if we are struggling to get enough png members i am sure me and vaughan could get 4 or 5 more nova owners..

also, kames starts getting busy about March, so January/early February would be the best for them..

shame you have to join as well. More money. Would you have to join if you were just going to spectate?

Matt

Aye, I'd probably just be coming along for the crack and to see some of the cars as I doubt I'd be putting the Nova on track.

greg1.4

if you are not going on track dont put your name down..

you can spectate for free if you want..

but roughly £50 for a day on the track would be good imo..

i will be there with my rally car, definetly going on track to give it some abuse..

but i am not paying much more than what a normal track day up there is £25 so unless we get about 15 cars i wont be going..i am already a member but if any of you lads fancy another go again then it will be cheaper the second time round as you wont need to pay membership..

3 more names aswell -

How many hours does a 'day' get you ?
Is there a limit to how many you can have on the track at one time, as its not very wide so theres not gonna be any over taking, folk aren't gonna be wanting to get stuck behind others with no way of getting by.

Matt
04-01-09, 08:43 PM
Think it's a case of one on for 3 laps then re-join the que while the next person goes on.

vaughanmc

No idea how many hours you get from your 'day'

But I've been up there and some of the rally cars had to rig up the Cibies on the front lol

greg1.4
05-01-09, 04:49 PM
its usually from 9/10 am till dark really (5pm)

it is 1 on the track for 3 laps then re-join cue again

think the best thing would be to just let you boys know when the next track day is and get a load of you's to come up..

save our hasstle, but will still be roughly the same price (£25 track day and then £20 membership)

Aye I'd say thats a good plan as well Greg

greg1.4
