New/Random Nova Pics

Finally got the doors all built back up on the car :)

Windows are all in, rubbers all in, door cards, winder mech, door cappings etc (I'm sure you all know whats inside the doors)

Anyway as the car had been sitting about for a good while gathering stoor (as they say up this end lol) I thought it deserved a good wash and polish but I had to wait until all the doors were built back up and Waxoyl'd

I gave it a hoover out during the week but the loose stuff from the polishing dusters are all over the seats so it might need a run over again

But anyway heres some pics of what I've been getting up to today :)

Iirc, 185-65-14s i even recall that the rears were the oe ones from an H plate SR lol

Hmm I have 175/65/14's on mine just now

But thinking about going slightly wider to some 185/60/14 or maybe a bit lower profile on some 185/55/14's

Id go for the 55s if you can get them as you tend to get a bit of tyre roll if you err corner enthusiastically and it will drop her down a little bit aswell:thumb:

Aye, it used to have 185/55's on it when I had the Corsa GSi alloys on it...lol

They looked good and it handled well so I might go for them again

But I'll try and source another 2 175/65's as thats an original Nova size tyre

Yip astra mk3 steels, 15" iirc and im fairly sure youre not sposed to have larger wheels on the front though so should they not be on the back?

And theyre oe vaux so perfect fitment/offset, just depends what tyres you run, i used to run kumho ecsta supras on them but couldnt get hold of some one time so i got there nearest budget ones i could and put the new ones on the rear but the offside rubbed as the tyre wall was a different shape slightly so had to stick em back to the front, stupid vaux tolerances meant it only rubbed on a right hand bend puzzled me real bad at first!

Thats the beauty of wheels they are the one mod that can completely change a cars appearance so thats why we all always like to swap them around lol

Id kill for some of those on me cav but i reckon 17"s are just that little bit too much for a nova, although my mate had a silk violet GSi with a set of 10 spoke avalini turbo wheels in 17" shadow chrome and that looked awesome i so wish i had pics but we never bothered back then lol

Got to agree with the above but not all 16s look right some look too wide. A set of mim raffs would tempt me to go for 17s though and I just sold five tigra five spokes on the bay for 50 quid

Nova/Corsa GSi brakes are adequate for an SR and fit behind the 5j three spokes:thumb:
