Hi, for sale is my 1987 Opel Manta GTE Track/Rally Car. I originally purchased this car to compete in road rallies whilst living in Wales at university. Unfortunaltey, time and money became an issue and the car never got used for it's true protential. The car was purchased similar to how you see it today, I have added bits along the way to improve performance. Sadly, I have too many toys and not enough time, and house buying has come into the picture, so the manta has to go towards the deposit.

Generally an alround brilliant car, lovely to drive, but every great car has some downsides...
The underside is very good, had it up on a ramp and stone guarded it 3 years ago. However the body panels are showing the car's age. There is rust to the lower corners of the rear arches, top of the front left wing and bottom of the rear valance. The car has had welding in the past and has had replacement skirt trim fitted, which requires painting.

It comes with all the interior parts (carpet, parcel shelf supports, seatbelts) and rear seat for road rallying, probably lots of other bits I've forgotten.

Comprehensive service history, and flew through all its MOTs whilst I've owned the car (3/4 years), sadly as much as I don't want to sell, needs must.

The car is worth atleast twice what I'm asking for in parts.

Not been on here for a while, and not spoke to Chris since Christmas, so am very shocked to read this, and also a little sad :(

Anyway, please let me vow for this car... Chris took me out in it when I first met him and its a real winner. I'd buy it tomorrow if I had the money and room spare, but now's just not the time.

If you're wanting a car that's fun to drive, please don't overlook this without a good old think. Well worth a drive before you poo-poo them and the welded rear diff makes for some wicked ****-out action. :D:D

Happy new year mate, speak to you real soon

That sounds like a fair price mate, without sounding like everyone else i'd buy if it i could, my dad had a 1987 Manta GTE Exclusive (coupe) and it was wicked ! loved that car !! the seats in it were mint and it just looked ace, hope this goes to a good home !

Sadly sold :(

Not just an empty space on the drive... Anyone else feel a little sad selling their cars? Had it for 4.5years and been through a lot. Bad times.

Still miss my red nova despite wanting rid of the matt painted, full of filler, bent up thing when I got rid of it lol

The manta meant more to me than the nova. If I needed the money I wouldn't hesitate selling the nova!
