Is anyone any good at paneling the rear of a nova so it looks like a van? I'd like this doing in my car using MDF and covering it in carpet then putting a small ice install in

Does anybody have tips/advice;

or

Know how to go about it;

or

Know how much this kind of thing will cost?

Any help would be gratefully appreciated, thanks in advance

Use 3mm sheet ply, its piece of pish.

You'll need a jigsaw cutter too.

Erm, is your Novw currently a Car and you want to convert it into a Van?

If so, get some 2mm sheet steel, take out your 1.4 window and trace round it onto the steel, cut it, paint it and fit it in place of the glass. As for Paneling inside your Van, get a sheet of 4mm Hard Board from your local DIY Store and simply trace round it with your old Panels. This is better than Ply as it doesnt Rattle as its made from Fibre and not Timber. Then you can get Carpet (accustic stuff is best), fold it over the edge you want to hide, stick it in place with some decent glue and Screw it into place.

It was a car mate, its already got the panels in the windows. I dont have the panels as the car has been stripped out before i purchased the car, what about the floor aswell as its uneven?

In the original vans, they had a huge metal load liner/bulkhead (I used to have a genuine "Novan")

Ive still got one, albeit fitted to a Corsa :D

Make a template from card that follows the contours of the floor, then cut some strips of timber to follow that contour. Fix the timber down then the panelling to it and you have a flat floor :).

use cardboard or engineers template paper to create templates! once your happy with the template , draw round it onto ply wood and cut it out with jig saw!!! you prob only need to do one side with a template as the other will just be a mirrow image!! then box over the wheel arches, and seal corners with a silicone! easy!

Ok, get a set of Nova Rear Car Panels, they are still the same shape, use them as templates. As for the Floor, 4mm WBP Ply, trace round it using the carpet as a template, although you may need to hinge a door for the spare wheel well. As for the Floor, in the back, use the upright from a Nova Back seat without the material or Foam and fold it down. Tek Screw it through some Rubber to stop it rattling and jobs a goodun.
