im fitting twin 40's to my e16se, i have the full kit, i fitted the alt bracket, now if i extend the upper bracket the belt hits the alt mount, if i go the other way, the alt hits the engine and a shorter belt wouldn't fit

any ideas? i was thinking a twin v pulley and only use the outer one, ?

sounds like you have the wrong lower bracket, do you have any pics?

I used a std 1.2 belt on mine, fitted fine. I think i filed down the lower alt mount though, because the belt rubbed it slightly.

this is only pic i have, it clears the pipe and the carbs, but the belt catch's the alt mount.

if i move it in for a shorter belt it hits the engine
