C20XE experts, whys this been blocked off?

Evening all, been looking at my engine this aft and noticed that one of the water ways has been blocked off on the cylinder head. Can anybody explain why this has been done? :confused:

Personally though if i had the ability and space to run it back round to the black matrix pipe on the back of the head i would do it.

agreed its designed to circulate that way for a reason tbh

as abova I'd much rather join it to the plastic pipe, looks neater like that though.
