^ Vaugh, tis a really good read TBH, still in the early stages mind.

Giving me some reet ideas of leaving my car off the road till sometime 2012 and going "uber" 8vT spec on it TBH.

now this is a legend of a car...

Tom Hammond (as in Hammonds Furniture, fitted wardrobes etc) built this over the space of 10 years or so. it was a genuine short quattro, but he had it built up to pretty much pikes peak spec. the spoilers were made of mdf & developed in the mira wind tunnel. he was serious about his quattros. this car ended up with everything a full works quattro had except for the crazy preselector porsche designed gearbox.

it was used for hillclimbing & sprinting. I used to see it on a trailer being towed by a roadgoing short quattro..

It had a works spec engine & developed 700hp. I will be shocked if the engine in that lads car will make that, as he states it will, without blowing up. the rest of the build looks fairly amazing, except for the water pipes. the angles should be smooth radiusses not straight angles.
