I've got a couple of questions about some GSI styling:

What colour are the carpets in a GSI?
Does anybody know the paint code for the black coloured GSI? as this is the colour i will be spraying my bumpers and side-skirtsThanks in advance for all your help!

The carpets are the same colour as other novas iirc, possibly slightly darker grey but not 100% on that and if you find a post by Razorjack there is a colourcode listing in his sig:thumb:

Diamond Black is the original GSi colour fella I think... No idea about the Paintcode though

The carpets are just the same colour as well - I have a full GSi interior in my car but I put red Nova Antibes carpets in it to give it more of a contrast :)

Tis an old valeters trick that one, if its got dark carpets and stains that wont come out then either spray it or use proper carpet dye and colour it black lol

VXandy

Well the mdf is covered with black carpet and that covers where the rear seats used to be and where the rear door cards used to be and also the rear panels, i want the front carpet to match the carpet in the rear aswell as the gsi interior, if you know what i mean

You should source a GSi interior then and I have a full grey carpet set that would do your car if your interested

If you want to pick it up at F&M unless theres a base model in at your local scrappy you could strip

I'd rather it was black really mate because the cars going to have a black and red theme . . . Inside and outside!

I might go down that route of spraying the carpets black like you suggested earlier

vaughanmc

Aye that could work as well then some mats to protect the bits that get the most wear :)

I didn't spray my carpets though I painted my parcel shelf

VXandy

ahh i see, can it be done though?

vaughanmc
01-01-09, 07:25 PM
Aye might cost you a bit in paint but aye it could be done

I'd say about 4/5 500ml cans of Matt Black paint would do a full car carpet with even coverage :)
