elec window switches

one of my window switches broke and i cudn't find another nova switch so put a corsa one in and it didnt work. could anyone explain why this is please. the e/w motor is ok because i put the drivers side switch on and it worked fine. and i have tried numerous corsa switches so it wasn't a dud switch. any ideas?

if the drivers switch worked on the passenger side then the problem is the switch.i used to use escort mk5 switches are these are easy to get and once fitted they last for ages.

why not buy another nova one?

its not the switch because the switch worked fine in my corsa. so did the other 2 i tried. i know that nova switches work the opposite way round to corsa ones but i wudnt of thought that would matter. obviously it does. invest in a new nova switch then i think.

i used tigra ones they look better to because they have a raised lip around them.

i did need to re'arrange the wires to colout to colour tho.
