hi folk been looking at these engines and they seem to be going really cheap. are they any good for a conversion? what sort of power do they put out? has anyone done it and would recommend it? thanks for any help

they have a transponer in the key in the origonal car thay come from so you will end up with an imobilser problem.

my friend had one of these lump in his mk4 astra sport.

had loads of problem with it,4gearboxes,egr valv every couple of months ,standard they produce 115bhp.

in my opinion steer clear.

Bout 130bhp iirc, they're small block so will fit straight in a nova on the existing mounts, only wiring that needs sorting.

130bhp was from the later engines,(fly by wire throttle)

cable was 115bhp
