Thought id take some pics for some feedback. Its about to be converted to MK1 spec with a sport bumper so this is how it stands before the change.

Comments most welcome, hopefully going to get the car to its first show next year.
Cool car mate, bit of a sleeper! Looks a tad high at the back though.
Looks pretty cool, im guessing it sits high due to the stripped out back end, what year is it btw?
Does look cool, nice motor. Get a front grill on.

looks like a good motor, the back end just looks a bit empty with fully debadged and no spoiler. but thats just me. other than that, very tidy an very nice

Matt & Spudly - yeh im hopefully getting some GAZ coilovers funds permitting as its on GMax at the mo. Ive asked for a photoshop of it lowering just now. Its a 1991 1.2 shell.
Adam - Ive cut the slam panel off so grill no longer fits...new bumper should be on in few weeks anyway so will look much more retro i think.
Cheers for comments lads.
Put a bolt on slam back on......
Evil camber on the front!lol
Are the wheels 7J by any chance??
Looks straight though!!;)

NovaSR-ish - Ive got an Sr wrap around spoiler for it but i cant decide what colour it should go. I want it satin black to match new bumpers but my mate reckons colour code it.
Wont it look a touch odd though as a J/K reg mk1 lol
But having said that there was a time when a facelifted mk1 wouldve looked odd so go for it bud!

Will F- No they are 6J i wish they were 7! I want some TH2's for it aswell, compo only seem to sell them in 16 ET40 now though, could cause problems i think.

if the bumpers are black, i'd say keep the spoiler black, break up the back a bit

Spudly - Well you cant tell that its a J or K plate anyway as its on priivate reg.

Jay - I thought mono's were 6J? If you make yours as strong as mine are then ill have them! I would have 3 sets if funds would allow white, black and pink!
Spudly - Well you cant tell that its a J or K plate anyway as its on priivate reg.
Cool get it mk1`d then it will hard as nails:thumb:

will looke beter with mk1 bits imo but it needs lowering on the back!!
Nice, the rear strut brace will do hardly anything fitted like that. you want it bold or welded if you can to the metal of the turret.
As been said it needs to be lower on the rear.

benn - yeh im getting one of those cages on group buy so should be much stiffer. Its all getting stripped to a bare shell for chemical stripping after that.
Christ, thats a hard core strip.
Weld a brace in too.

aswell as a cage? surely the single diagonal bar will take some of the load?
Yeah but its the metal flexing between the turrets that gives the movement, either way both help.
