lol

my rear springs are around 110mm drop on the back, i keep loosing them lol
whether i jack the car up or go around an island bit too fast lol

i know this is an mot fail but,

dislocation cones, and limit straps what would Mr. mot say about them ?

or just **** my rear strut to fit the coilies lol

i cabled tied mine down.they were only 40mm ones but for safety purposes i did it.

even though i work at a test station it passed bt was mentioned about.but it is for a safety aspect if they see it from that point.

For a spring to be completely falling out you must be getting about a foot of air off a bridge or something.

For a spring to be completely falling out you must be getting about a foot of air off a bridge or something.

:confused: i managed nearly 2 and a half feet and never lost mine?

EDIT: Before anyone says anything, that was a night rally BTW.

just the plate, welded threaded tube, and nut - or you want the retainer doing aswell? if so - i'll need the OD of your springs so they fit snug around the outside of them :thumb:

I cant remeber what it used to run TBH, was Spax adjustable bollox thats all i know lol

general, do the old nascar trick. make some 1/4" wire ropes with loops & bolt them in top & bottom to limit the axle movement.

'where do I get 1/4" wire ropes from?' I hear you ask...... use trailer handbrake cable & fixings..... D'ya know where to get any from?

That happened round here a few years back. Rover with cut springs came round a corner pretty sharpish, springs fell out, car goes sideways and is cut clean in half by an onconimg vehicle.
