Can anyone help??

I have a nova with a c20xe fitted (2l 16v) but am unsure how to tell which G/box i have.

Can you tell by the top speed in each gear or is anything written on the box??

Also the gear linkage is very tight and slips out of reverse, Any thoughts on why and how to solve this??

Its in a nova MK2 GSI J Plate.

Oh and does anyone know the code/numbers i may find??. Is it just F16 and F20 or are there others. And whats the best and which cars are they from??

Thanks in advance,

Alex

it should have a number on the gearbox casing, somewhere on the top of the box near the selector iirc, should say f** with numbers in stead of the stars

Can't remember what the diagram was for, but you can see this is an F20..

Whats all the circling for? Is it to draw attention away from the massive F20 stamped onthe case? lol
