That is only £12k, in a year or so, it's not going to depreciate that much is it?

Would ideally want the 4.5 V8, but cant see there being that much difference?

Don't want the measly 4.0 LOL.

My mate had a Tuscan S, owned it for 18 months and it had to have 4 rebuilds!

He used to drive it properly though...

Paul,

Having actually owned a tvr for a while I do have a little knowledge of them, To be honest I ignored what people said about them (Reliability issues etc) and went for it.... Bought this low mileage, full history, few owner example of a chimeara.....

For a short while I was very pleased But unfortunatly it did turn into a downward spiral. And the parts prices are not cheap by a long shot! Hence I sold it. Ive heard of the cerbera side that the earlier ones are the most relaible (Like the one in your link). Later ones with the engines built by Tvr themselves are the apparantly one of tvr's most unrelaible cars. As said by Olly I believe Phil sutton has one of the earlier ones? They are cheap nowadays for what you get however Id imagine your nova will give you more thrills maybe just not as much posability etc. One thing is for certain I doubt you'll find anything that sounds better for the cash! Good luck :)

It will catch fire and you will die horribly.

But on the flip side, what a way to go :D

a mate of mine end over end rolled one at 120mph.... the chassis was only deflected by 1/4" and technically jiggable by TVR but the bodywork costs wrote it off lol. Oh and the blood in the footwell from where his right foot was turned 180degrees..... nice

I do wonder how these clowns have these epic accidents?

he might have been doing 120, on a muddy, damp road after a spot of lunch.... knobber for what he did, but awesome how the car got him out alive.

TBH i think he was seriously lucky, as they have NO safety equipment. In fact, I rekon they deliberately make stuff in the cabin extra hard and pointy just to kill you quicker lol

thats more of an incentive to NOT cock it up. Kinda like the suggestion of having a big spike in the middle of the steeringwheel :D

I've spent many scary hours sat in TVR's instructing idiots around tracks on experience days etc, fantastic cars in straight lines, sound awesome.........and thats about it. Both the tuscan and the tamora have lost their back windows on high speed laps due to the front window bein open an inch ( cos the air-con had packed up..., suprise!)
