Tonight's Top Gear Christmas special is the centrepiece of a high-octane evening of entertainment. Also on the bill are Thunderbirds, James May's Top Toys and 'The Getaway' starring Steve McQueen.

Apparently there challenge was to buy cheap cars there and drive through the country, although the price of cars out there was way too much so they bought bikes! lol

I just wanna see clarkson complain because he hates bikers so much

so that would mean you missed the one on thursday also.

it was the fly drive to america were they decided it was easier to buy a car out there instead of renting it.
its not the one were the wrote "man love rules" on the cars or were they had to buy the corvette as they weren't alowed to test drive it.

if you missed any, bbc/iplayer

anybody watch that programe after with that cook james someone in it. doing some 1000 mile race

what an unter waste of a ****ing hour, basically he hunted ages for a car, found a co driver and a car, rebuilt it, went to this race, the car hadnt been broken in well enough, he thrashed it, broke a valve 120 miles in and was out, what a absolute cock.

talk about fail programe, and it cost him about a million in total, car was 650,000, rebuilt and a years prep.

yeh, james said he is going to be having serious words with who ever did the pistons and valves.

he phoned england (were in italy) to see if there were any spares available, shame there wasnt as there were only ever 3 made of those cars. he found a book with some history in it after he was out and it had another one of those cars fail with the excat same thing, MAJOR FAIL

James martin, that stuck up prick of a cook! what a total waste of an hour, tbh im glad he failed because he had such a sh!t attitude he got what he deserved. Actually there only three of that maserati made that year I believe.

Top gear on the other hand was probably the best episode ever! Clarkson getting soaked and pissed off was mega funny and hammonds present which he kept knocking stuff over with was pretty funny, as usual though, at the end of the programme it was clarkson that came first and took the glory. Bit of a setup I reckon..

Of course it's all a setup... you don't really think all the races etc they have are real do you! lol

Awesome episode though, really funny!

About the mille miglia, just try & find some footage of Stirling Moss & 'Jenks' in merc 722 in the '55 race. they averaged 100mph on public roads with oncoming traffic with 6" wide crossplys, drum brakes & 300hp, oh & they invented pace notes as well.

the word hero doesn't even come close

Oh, and the car has sr seat trim.....

James Martin - what a cock!

Normally like him as well, watch his cookery show and everything lol

He was a prick and a sexist one at that! His mechanic told him to break it in and he didnt. What an idiot, wouldnt even let them strap a camera to his car. So what? You want the whole programme to consists of shots of you pulling away but not actually driving?

Dickhead!
